When I rolled out of bed yesterday morning and looked at my phone, the last thing I would have expected to find was a call from Tara that she was in labor – almost two weeks early!
After a quick teeth-brushing, I headed to the hospital.
She, her husband Jake and I spent the morning and early afternoon walking the hospital halls, chatting away – hardly even slowing our pace when a contraction would hit. Suffice to say, Tara’s enthusiasm drew a lot of attention from the staff.
Three hours later, just as Tara’s progression seemed to have stalled, she hopped into bed, gave two good pushes and out came baby Micah!! Is this woman amazing or what!? And who put on his gloves to catch the baby? Good old dad of course! The perfect team.
