About me
My love of photography started with an old school Nikon SLR film camera I received in the 90s. I adored the process of creating an image – the attention to settings and lighting; the anticipation of seeing your final developed photos… But it took a while to get here, professionally. After I received my BFA in graphic design, I worked as a designer for several agencies and corporations, between 2006 and 2014. It’s funny how you can come full-circle – back to one of your earliest dreams. My dream was and always will be photography.
This year, I partnered with a fellow photog to open CommonSpace Studio – it’s awesome, check it out! When I’m not shooting or running two businesses, I’m home with my three sweet little boys, or we’re all off in the woods, somewhere, camping. Shoutout to my husband, who is a huge reason these dreams of mine have become reality – he’s the left to my right brain, and just makes everything WORK! Jesus Christ is Lord! As often as I fail Him (daily), He is refining me, for His purpose. Soli Deo gloria!
