Hi, I’m Jess
My love of photography started with an old school Nikon SLR film camera I received in 1998. I adored the process of creating an image – the attention to settings and lighting; the anticipation of seeing your final developed photos… But it took a while to get here, professionally. After I received my BFA in graphic design, I worked as a designer for several agencies and corporations, between 2006 and 2014. It’s funny how you can come full-circle – back to one of your earliest dreams. My dream was and always will be photography.
When I’m not shooting, I have my hands full with three sweet little boys. I am forever seeking that just-right balance between my work and family life, but I am so thankful to have the opportunity to stay home with them (full-time), while still pursuing this creative passion. And my husband is the reason this dream is a reality – he just makes everything work, and hardly irritated when a shiny new (expensive) lens lands on our doorstep… Jesus Christ is Lord! As often as I fail Him (daily), He is refining me, for His purpose. Soli Deo gloria!
